Happy Canada Day! Despite what you may be hearing about Alberta, this country is my home and I'm grateful, not sorry at all.
If you want to do something ultra-patriotic today, read a book by a Canadian author, published by a small Canadian press (i.e., not by a branch plant of the Big Five). Then tell someone about the book you read. Wins all around.

PS: For those keeping score, a quick iTunes update: as of this morning, there are 19,384 unplayed tracks (out of 32,923) on iTunes. That means I've played through roughly 41% of my library as of last night, and of the songs played, 19 have been played at least 10 times. All of this is relevant because of an essay I wrote, which is being published later this year. But more news on that later.
