Good day, and welcome to February. Depending on your perspective, January either passed in an eye blink or lasted approximately four months. For me, the former. Ah well: onward!
In case you were wondering, through good situational awareness and some gamification of my iTunes stats, I managed to break through 30,000 tracks yesterday. That's right: last night there were (only) 29,986 unplayed tracks in my library. I'd need somehow to maintain that level of listening to hear the entire collection this year, and that's unlikely to happen. But at least I know what's possible — if I didn't add any new music this year.
In reading, my stats are more disappointing, but at least I finally finished the John Irving novel I'd been picking at since summer 2025. So there's that.
